Hey, how are things! Ready to get back outside to have some fun in the sun? Maybe you've been feeling a little out of shape lately? Or maybe it's time to find a new hobby or give your little ones the perfect opportunity to develop a new skill! Look no further, my name is Coach David and I dedicate my longtime passion for tennis to locals of all ages who would like to learn the basics or even more advanced techniques of tennis. Tennis has brought me great happiness and satisfaction in life, which is why I am so passionate about teaching tennis to others! We are an elite group of coaches who enjoy helping our clients improve their tennis skills. Our combined experience spans over 80 years of tennis! Our program has expanded from Palo Alto to Redwood City, from San Francisco to the East Bay, and we even have trainers in Sacramento. Trainer Hector serves the area from Palo Alto to San Bruno and has been a PTR Certified Trainer since 2010. Since then, he has had dozens of successful clients, from children and beginners to adults and experienced players. He has a lot of experience and loves to train anyone who wants to learn, work and achieve high results! In our coaching, we are result-oriented, simple and straightforward. The use of a range of metaphors, vocabulary and movements creates more chances for things to "click" for our students, who can then more easily connect with the fundamental and core ideas of tennis, which they will therefore naturally incorporate into their game. and get better! In tennis, everything is trial and error. You hit, then analyze how your body feels as you move, how the ball interacts with your racquet and how the spin affects the movement, then you adjust and make small changes with the intention of improving your stroke and overall making it more " natural." The biomechanics of tennis, like any other sport, is already perfect in its theoretical and physical state. However, we, as imperfect beings, must train our bodies with muscle memory to adapt perfectly to every shot in order to maximize comfort as well as power, control, and ball spin. Once we get a feel for that perfect hit, the goal is to mimic the position of our body in relation to the ball for each individual hit and continue with the identical movement needed to create the spin. Bend your knees, twist your torso, keep your eyes on the ball, keep your left hand in front for a right hand…etc. For us, tennis is an exciting art, so we not only teach students, but also help them understand why we do what we do. By having a solid understanding of the fundamentals, students are more likely to improve their knowledge at a faster pace. Below are some of the areas we cover. Areas covered include: - Kicks from the ground (right and left) -volleys - Feed (cutting, rotating, flat, etc.) -Basics (footwork, mechanics, placement, positioning, etc.) -Psychology and strategy (results through effective, efficient thinking and movement) -Digital (analysis of photo and video progress on request) -Off-Court Training (off-court tips to improve your game) In addition, our services will focus on the following aspects: * Physical: conditioning, speed, agility, strength, nutrition, flexibility, injury prevention. * Technical: tracking skills, racket skills, basics of throwing, ball control, movement, footwork, modern throwing technique, playing style. * Tactics: Consistency, positioning, layout, spins, strength, shot selection, competitive situation. * Strategic: repetition, style of play, match situation, tournament situation. * Mind: confidence, mental toughness, goals, sportsmanship, temperament, confidence.
